The Symbol Manager Overview

THE SYMBOL MANAGER WINDOW

PathFinder Trader utilizes the Symbol Manager feature in order to allow users to find financial products and symbols of different counter parties, exchanges and clearing firms.

Users can simply choose Open from the File pull-down menu, and select Symbol Manager as the option.

Acessing the Symbol Manager from Main Menu toolbar -- click twice to view it in full screen

Similarly, user can choose the SymbolManagerIcon.jpg icon from Main Menu toolbar as the shorcut button.

With the symbol manager, users can add instruments to the Quotes Board in order to be traded.

Symbol Subscription Procedure

Most financial products from a counter party or clearing firm would be available underneath the data-feed section located on the left side of the Symbol Manager window. For example, if the user has established a connection to multiple liquidity providers, clearing firms, or exchanges, then each product from each organization can be navigated by the left pane.

However, if the user manually disables the connection through the Connection Settings window, then the symbols would not be available for browsing.
