THE DDE CLASS OVERVIEW

PathFinder Trader™ Trader offers an application programming interface (API) function to users as a solution for meeting the needs of most demanding traders. Users would need to have .NET 3.5 in order to fully utilize PathFinder Trader™ Trader’s API feature called PathAPI.

One example of how PathAPI can be used is through a dynamic data exchange (DDE) server where the user can drag and drop functions directly products directly from the Quotes Board. Additionally, users can retrieve data manually on a spreadsheet that has DDE capability by writing a simple syntax and enable the DDE Server function.

In order to enable the DDE Linking feature, users would need to go to the General Options window located from the Tools pull-down menu on the main menu toolbar.

Acessing the General Options from Main Menu toolbar -- click twice to view it in full screen

Once the window opens, users can enable the DDE Linking feature by clicking the box next to the Enable DDE Server option in the Data Services section.

WARNING :
Activating the Enable DDE Server function may affect platform performance. 

It is also important to note that if the DDE Server is disabled, then the DDE Linking function may display error messages until it is enabled again.
