POSSIBLE WINDOWS LAYOUT

PathFinder Trader™ contains many features and applications that the user can utilize in order to create a customized individual trading environment. Some features include the Scalper Book, Economic Calendar, Order Manager, etc., which are all unique in their own way. Because of this, PathFinder Trader™ allows for a customized windows layout for users who would like to change the overall appearance of their personalized platform.

Every window can be resided, attached to the platform, detached from the platform, added, removed, etc., in many scenarios. However, when windows are present, there are two organization concepts that allow users to manage layouts. This includes the Windows View and the Panels View organization concepts. In addition, Nested Windows is a function that is available for the Panels View layouts.

Once PathFinder Trader™ is launched, the main window appears on the computer screen. This main window contains three very important components. The first component is the platform desktop. Similarly, the PathFinder Trader™ workspace appears on the screen as well. Finally, a series of windows are opened to create the overall trading environment.

In order to achieve the Windows View or Panels View organization layouts, users can:

Step 1 Go to the Window menu option located on the Main Menu Toolbar.
Step 2a Choose Windows View if it is the desired layout.
Step 2b Choose Panels View if it is the desired layout.

Windows Layout Organization Options

Windows View

With this organization layout concept, PathFinder Trader™ organizes and displays each feature or application as individual windows. These windows can be detached from the platform itself and cascaded next to each other; or these windows can be tiled vertically/horizontally on the platform itself.

In order to tile windows horizontally, users can:

Step 1 Go to the Window menu option located on the Main Menu Toolbar.
Step 2 Choose Windows View from the pull-down menu.
Step 3 Choose Tile Horizontally to tile the windows horizontally.
Enable 'Windows View' concept and select tiling options -- click twice to view it in full screen

In order to tile windows vertically, users can:

Step 1 Go to the Window menu option located on the Main Menu Toolbar.
Step 2 Choose Windows View from the pull-down menu.
Step 3 Choose Tile Vertically to tile the windows vertically.

In order to cascade the windows, users can:

Step 1 Go to the Window menu option located on the Main Menu Toolbar.
Step 2 Choose Windows View from the pull-down menu.
Step 3 Choose Cascade Windows to cascade the windows.


Panels View

With this organization layout concept, PathFinder Trader™s offers users much more flexibility when creating a customized trading environment. This option allows users to manage the platform much better, as well as provide opportunities that the Windows View does not.

Click the 'Panels View' concept to select it -- click twice to view it in full screen

In order to fully take advantage of this organization layout feature, it helps if the user knows the basic methods for using the Windows operating system’s general user interface. This can include resizing windows, dragging and dropping items using the mouse, closing out windows using the “X” button, etc.

Once the user knows the basics of operating windows in a Windows operating system, the Panels View organization layout will be easy to understand.
